I recently had the pleasure of staying at Gasthaus Schwan, and I wanted to share my thoughts on this coastal gem. As a marine biologist, I appreciate an hotel that respects its environment, and I found the hotel's commitment to sustainability appealing. The welcome drink upon check-in was a nice touch, allowing me to unwind after my journey. The accommodation featured a comfortable sitting area and a flat-screen TV for some downtime after exploring the stunning surroundings. Free Wi-Fi made it easy to connect with colleagues back in Edinburgh, while the leisure area offered a variety of board games-perfect for unwinding. While the rates lean towards the higher end, I believe the experience, particularly the stunning views and access to outdoor activities like hiking, justifies the expense. They also have pet amenities, which is a thoughtful addition for animal lovers. Gasthaus Schwan strikes a delicate balance between luxury and value, making it a worthy choice for your next Scandinavian adventure.
